OUR PROJECTS
LIBERIA
Changing Our Tomorrows is dedicated to enhancing education and healthcare in Bopulu and Gorlu, Liberia.
We have funded the construction of a K-12 school and a clinic, along with building residences for teachers. Our support also covers tuition for many students, contributing to an average school attendance of over 250 since 2014.
Our initiatives aim to provide crucial educational and medical resources to underserved communities.
BACKPACK BUDDIES
Our organization collaborates with the Backpack Buddies Foundation to address food insecurity among students at Rolling Ridge Elementary School in Sterling, VA. Since 2022, we have been providing vital food assistance to 180 students who might otherwise face hunger during school weekends and extended breaks.
Our partnership with Backpack Buddies aims to ensure that these children receive nutritious meals, supporting their well-being and academic success.
LAWS
We are honored to partner with the Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter through a substantial grant to fund the construction of a new shelter. This initiative aims to expand the facility’s capacity, allowing it to serve a greater number of women and children affected by domestic abuse.
Our support focuses on enhancing the shelter’s resources and infrastructure to provide comprehensive services, including emergency housing, counseling, and support programs.
OUR FUTURE
While we continue to look at various places around the world where we feel we can make a significant contribution in a local community based on their needs, we are also increasing our focus on local needs. In addition many of our Board Members volunteer hours to provide and distribute food locally, to teach ESL and mentor recent immigrants, and to fund other organizations involved with helping women and children. We are also interested in exploring housing for those in need along with other services that will provide better tomorrows for our neighbors.
Follow our journey
Changing Our Tomorrows is a nonprofit run by volunteers that is changing the lives of people living in our area as well as overseas. Whether we are helping other local nonprofits feed area children, building shelters for abused women, or constructing and funding the operation of schools in Africa, we are striving to offer opportunities that will change futures.
